I love the Ballad of ‘Song Birds and Snakes’ by Suzanne Collins. It is the prequel to the Hunger Games and depicts how the young impressionable Coriolanus Snow becomes the harsh and cruel President Snow. There are also many little connections between the original trilogy’s symbols of Snow’s fall and the symbols of his youth and the girl he loved.
